What Will You Be Doing in 5 Years?

I hate that question. Not because it isn't valid. It's a great question to find out what, if any goals someone has. It can also gauge how they communicate those goals. However, I have pondered it for the last few months, every time I visited this blog.

You'll notice I have not posted in over 5 years. Trust me, it doesn't feel that long ago, except when it feels like even longer. However, I read the last post, chuckled (ok, lmao) and thought - a lot can change in 5 years. How would I have answered that question then vs. now? I'm certainly not doing much that would have been in that answer. My life looks different now, in a way that I could never have predicted.

I'm not going to bore you with a full update of what I have been doing for the last 5+ years. Those who know me personally already know those details. Those who don't know me don't necessarily need to know. Suffice to say, I have been up to the usual. I've been on the internet, finding great things. I've traveled. I've finished nursing school. I've done quite a bit of soul searching. I've taken some time for myself. I've explored new things and old things, too.

I am now just getting back to some of the things I was working on prior to school. I'm excited to get back to my projects. I also have some new ideas in my head. I'll share them with you here, and in some new projects I'm launching. I look forward to sharing my exploits with you.

What will I be doing in 5 years? Who knows. I can make some goals and do a lot of planning, but I cannot predict what will actually happen. With that said, I have many goals, short term and long term. Whether or not they come to fruition, I will find value in the journey. I will learn from all of my experiences and they will continue to shape who I am.

Let's call everything prior to this time, Chapter 1. Time to move on. Welcome to Chapter 2.
